RSPB - Osprey
Centre
-
situated at Grianan, by
Nethybridge. Visit the Osprey
Viewing Hide overlooking nesting
ospreys, spectacular fish-eating
birds of prey. Open April till
late August.
Rothiemurchus
Highland Estate
-
situated on the Cairngorm ski
road visit the estate to
experience outstanding scenery
and varied wildlife as well as
guided walks and tours, clay
pigeon shooting, 4 x 4 driving
and fishing.

Blair Castle
-
just off the A9 around 45
minutes drive from Laggan. The
castle is set in extensive
parklands. It is the traditional
home of the Dukes of Atholl and
offers a unique experience of
Scotland's past and present. You
can walk through 32 fully
furnished rooms displaying
beautiful furniture, fine
painting, arms and armour,
china, lace and embroidery. In
the parklands you can see
Highland Cattle, deer parks and
peacocks. There is also a
children's play area. Open from
1st April to 29th October 1999. |

Landmark

situated in Carrbridge 40
minutes drive from Laggan. Bring
the children here and you will
not be able to get them away as
there is so much to see and do.
Including Adventureland which
has the Big Slide, the Tube,
Arial Net Walkway, Obstacle
Trail and Kiddies Area. Also
here is the Fire Tower, the
tallest timber tower in the
country - climb the 105 steps to
the top for amazing views. The
ancient forest includes the Red
Squirrel Trail and the Tree Top
Trail. The Timber Trail with
steam powered sawmill, Fred the
Clydesdale horse and 'hands on'
activity area will interest all
age groups. There are 3
different rides available on the
Wild Water Coaster - the
Wildcat, Falcon and the Otter.
