Catlodge Farmhouse

Bed & Breakfast

You can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome to our farmhouse at Catlodge, Laggan. We only have one double room ensuring that you have a peaceful and relaxing stay. The house sits in a delightful setting surrounded by the Monadhliath Hills and overlooking the Spey Valley

A pleasant double bedroom awaits you with full ensuite facilities offering fantastic views of the Spey Valley and the Cairngorms on the horizon. Tea, coffee and biscuits are always available. TV is not available in the room.
The name Catlodge has a variety of derivations: Callag Etterish - an old Gaelic name; Caitleag (Gaelic for Catlodge) - the hollow of the cat or perhaps the hollow of the sheep cote; Lodge of Cathleiter; Cattolich which is found in the Reversion Writ dated 6 October 1486. Catlodge refers to the community as well as the Lodge itself, the earliest part of which dates from 1640.

We are just 2 miles from the centre of Laggan and only 3.5 miles from Wolftrax the acclaimed mountain bike centre in Strathmashie Forest. Walking, fishing and pony trekking are all on our doorstep. Evening meals are available from the Monadhliath Hotel and cakes and crafts from the Pottery Craft Shop. The local village shop is well stocked for picnics.
Our rates are £22.50 per person with a farmhouse breakfast. Off road parking is available and you can find us on the A889 at the junction of the road to Glentruim.
