outstanding natural highland beauty of
Strathmashie Forest, Laggan

a fast red grade route packed with features and
a very technical ‘double diamond’ black grade
route for serious mountain bike enthusiasts.
Cycle all the trails and you will have enjoyed
nearly 18 km of the most up-to-date, year-round
singletrack available in the country.

SKI-ING
Fort William - Nevis Range
- around ¾ hour drive from Laggan.
Ski Aonach Mor with Ben Nevis (4406 ft) in your
sight. Access has now opened into the back
corries with completion of the new Braveheart
Chairlift. The runs range from total beginners
to off piste, with 12 ski lifts available.
Creche facilities are also available for 3-7
year olds.
Aviemore - Cairngorm
-3/4 hour drive from Laggan. Here
16 ski lifts are available and run's range from
easy to very difficult. Cairngorm has excellent
facilities for all the family.

Water Sports
Loch Insh -
a 25-minute drive from Laggan takes you to Loch
Insh, which has lots of facilities for all the
family. These include canoe river trips for
beginners, swimming, sailing and windsurfing,
bank or boat fishing and stocked Lochan. As well
as their watersports Loch Insh has a dry ski
slope, mountain bikes, children's adventure
area, climbing wall and the BoatHouse restaurant
and gift shop. |

Loch Morlich & Glenmore Forest Park -
a 35 min. drive from Laggan on
the Cairngorm ski road you will find Glenmore
Forest park, stroll along the wonderful sandy
beach on the edge of Loch Morlich which lies at
the foot of the Cairngorms. Here you will find
facilities for all the family including fishing,
sailing, windsurfing as well as mountain bike
trails, nature and walking trails, orienteering
and the Reindeer centre. |
