A86 and A889 (September/October 2021) Road Closures - UPDATED 9th September

UPDATE 14th September.

Road Closure proposals for re-surfacing works in the Laggan Area on the A86 and A889 during September and October.

BEAR, acting for Transport Scotland, have formally advised of the following planned NIGHT TIME road works from 8pm to 6am each night.

A86 - Cluny Farm (2 nights) - 5/6th Sept - COMPLETED

A86 - West of Strathmashie Bridge (3 nights) - 7-10th Sept - COMPLETED

A86 - soft verge repairs - between Laggan Village and Gaskbeg Farm w/b 13th September - day time with temp. traffic lights.

A889 - Allt an t-Slugain - (2 nights) 13-14th Sept

A889 - North of Dalwhinnie Rail Bridge (2 nights) 15-16th Sept

A889 - Cathar Mor Straight ( 7 nights) 19-27th Sept.

A86 - Creag Dubh - INDEFINITELY DELAYED

For the A889, diversions via A9 and A86 are proposed. For the A86 work, no through road access is expected to be allowed except for emergency vehicles. Amnesty periods every 2 hours from 10pm will be allowed for the works west of Strathmashie. Signage and other local access arrangements are to be advised.
