Come and try the semi-permanent orienteering string, easy, medium and hard courses in the forest. We change the courses 3-4 times a year and they all start behind the Laggan Wolftrax Centre at Strathmashie.

From July to September and from November to April, the hard course goes on to the adjacent moorland.

The string course is for adventurous toddlers to 8 year olds who follow a string to find the pictures on their map and win prizes. We change the themes so you may find nature pictures, an Easter or Halloween theme or 'What did the teddy bears have on their picnic?'

On the easy, medium and hard courses, you can go round for fun or if you would like to test your speed on a course using your mobile, download The iOrienteering App. On the app you scan the course QR code and off you go - scanning each control as you find it. When you finish, use the app to download your results.

The Laggan Wolftrax Centre café is open for all the maps daily, 10am – 5pm, from Easter to October. At other times you can purchase them from the Laggan Forest Trust office in the Centre.

Maps for the easy, medium and hard courses cost £3. The children’s string courses costs £1.50.
