Sherramore Lodge

Steeped in character, this Victorian-built shooting lodge within the Cairngorms National Park is an ideal location from which to enjoy the best of the local area.  Sherramore Lodge enjoys panoramic views over the rugged Scottish countryside, overlooking the upper stretch of the River Spey with snow-capped mountains as its backdrop.  Traditionally decorated, the Lodge sleeps 15 people in 9 bedrooms, all with shared bathrooms or shower rooms.  A travel cot and highchair can be arranged for infants.   To the rear of the property are Estate cottages and there is plenty of parking available for those staying at the Lodge.  The spacious entrance hall has a feature pine staircase, whilst the drawing room and dining room are both impressive traditional lodge rooms ideal for entertaining.

The Lodge’s accommodation is simply but comfortably furnished and includes:

Sitting room with open fire ; Dining room with open fire ; Reception hall with wood-burning stove

Family kitchen with Aga ; Utility room, cloakroom and two downstairs WCs.

Two double bedrooms, four twin bedrooms and three single bedrooms all with shared bathrooms

Dog-friendly by prior agreement and Office/Gun room

This is a relatively remote property in a working agricultural and sporting landscape. While we do have internet, it is slow and cannot stream television services etc. Sherrabeg Lodge has no central heating, although plug-in heaters are available to supplement the open fires in winter. The price of linen and towels is included in the price.  We suggest the Lodge for those seeking immersion in Highland rural life, with a wide range of outdoor activities quite literally on the doorstep.
